POLICY MATTERS

God Likes Funky Music Too functions on the following policies keeping in mind its goals and visions. The explanation, reasons and stipulations thereof are as explained below:

1) God Likes Funky Music Too is participative collective. Its functionality lies in the availability of resources, talents and abundance of each Christian that chooses to be a part of it, who (along with what they have to offer) constitute the essential resources of God Likes Funky Music Too. None among them are above or below anyone else within the movement in terms of the roles that they play – by both importance and value. They take up the roles which they are led and enabled to take up. (Read Christian Celebrityism). All spurts of inspiration and creativity (by default God given) are welcomed and accommodated as enabled and led by God.

2) There is no fixed setup, hierarchy, schedule or mode of functioning. While a setup is necessary for streamlined functioning, the setup must not over shadow the cause of Christ and His Kingdom both collectively and individually (Read Keep Christ The Institution). In order to accommodate this, there must be a setup that accommodates all who choose to participate as noted in the point above. This may be played by ear or may be a fluid/non rigid setup that best accommodates the leading of the Spirit in our lives which by no means must be detrimental to the further work of the Spirit.

3) God Likes Funky Music Too has no physical assets to its name except for the calling of the people who choose to be a part of it, as they are called, and all things physical they bring forth. This calling is made manifest in terms of the resources, talents and abundance that Funkyites come forward and present to God. All that we have is only by the grace of God. We ought to give it back to God and have Him to use it for His purpose for we are not our own (1 Cor 6:19). It is this principle of giving that God Likes Funky Music Too functions on as much as God enables it to. God Likes Funky Music Too runs, concerning all aspects, on a non profit and loss mechanism. The only motivation for functioning is the general and the particular call that we receive (as a community and as individuals) to do as He bids,
leads and enables.

4)God Likes Funky Music Too runs on the basis of Primary Involvement –default involvement to the cause of Christ and where he would have one be doing what He would have one do. The commitment and call to the work that God would have us do, individually and collectively, is driven by Christ and Christ alone. No other driving force is recommended to do work that is such intended and the work ought not to be result oriented. Moreover, it is a community issue of just being available primarily available for Christ and primarily to the His community – not only for certain uses or purposes.

5) The design of God Likes Funky Music Too is to allow all people of all forms of creativity, resourcefulness and energy to come forward and present these towards the Kingdom of God. This design accommodates all possible possibilities of the above mentioned ranging from kind of availability (hours/days a week/day/month/year) to contact that you can do that accounts for grace from God in terms of gifts (which basically implies the very fact that you breathe and exist in the form that you do) – WHATEVER HOWEVER WHEREVER. A design such as this gives no Christian space to say he or she does not fit in the movement. Joining the movement is as much a commitment as is your commitment to Jesus Christ, His purpose for you in your life and by default to His Kingdom. All additions to all aspects of the movement are welcome. If you have a suggestion to expand the scope of inclusion of talents, resources and energy then do contact us.
