A CALL TO LIFESTYLE MINISTRY
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
I would like to, in this message, present to you the concept of Lifestyle Ministry. Everything that you and I do, being believers, is a testimony to our great and mighty God. Every second of our deeds and words while we are living on Earth must be representative of Him and his hugeness and awesomeness in our lives. We speak of His name and carry His tag wherever we go and in everything we do. In short, a decision to follow Christ is a lifestyle. Hence each believing Christian is his/herself is a walking talking Lifestyle Ministry – which is simply your personal ministry.
Our choice of Lifestyle Ministry is not between walking barefoot in an unknown village telling people of Jesus and his love and starving to death doing so and sticking up with a ”regular” job and a “regular” life in the more comfortable city. Whatever may be our calling, we are called to BE ambassadors of Christ wherever we are and wherever we may go and that, my friends, is Lifestyle Ministry. Oozing Jesus and all that He is in every single thing that we do, whatever form it may be in, is Lifestyle Ministry. If He is in us and we have allowed Him to freely work in us, the oozing but comes naturally.
We call you to come forward and present your lifestyles, wherever however whatever, to be used for the greater glory of our God. God has given each one of us our share of talents, resources and abundance and it must be used for the Kingdom of God. God Likes Funky Music Too intends to integrate these so that they be put together and be best used as led by God.
Concrete steps to get involved
Here are things that you do to get started into his amazing journey of sharing the HUGENESS & AWESOMENESS of God in your life with the world. The process is designed so that every believing Christian of all possible availabilities, talents, resources and abundance can be accommodated as God leads him/her to be.
1) Tell us a little more about yourself. Say Here I Am Lord. Tell us your name, where we can contact you at, things that you have been gifted with, visions/goals/missions etc and your availability. If you don’t know any of these, fill in the form anyway with what you do. Once people write in with these, we will compile them and get things started.
2) Once in, you can get involved with our initiatives as God leads you too according to your gifts and talents. You can get involved:
a) Creatively
b) By partnering with us in the abundance that God has been gracious enough to bestow upon you
c) Simply pitching in with whatever you have
d) Leading from the front
3) Spread the word. Pass on the website URL- http://www.godlikesfunkymusictoo.com/ to people who you know will be interested. Refer to us communities of believing Christians be it a church, Christian organization, school, college or any other such community with whom we can follow up.
Let us not bypass any opportunity to stamp the world with the sweet name of Jesus and set it free. Bring your GOD GIVEN dreams, visions, goals, and stories and by the grace and strength of our Lord Jesus Christ and together we shall make a joyful noise to the Lord so the whole world knows LOUD and CLEAR how HUGE and AWESOME our GOD indeed is.
